Job Title: Civil LaborerJob Description We are seeking five skilled SWPPP Laborers to join our team, responsible for performing tasks such as hydroseeding, erosion control, laying down hay, shoveling, raking, and installing gabion basins. Responsibilities Perform hydroseeding and erosion control measures. Lay down hay and conduct shoveling and raking tasks. Install gabion basins and other erosion control structures. Operate heavy machinery including excavators, dozers, and articulated dump trucks. Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed and maintain a high level of safety awareness. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience operating excavators or dozers (both preferred). 3+ years of experience using an articulated dump truck. Fine grading ability for dozer/excavator operations. 3rd party certifications for bulldozer/excavator or articulated haul truck. Strong safety awareness and knowledge, such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Solar experience is a plus. Ability to work significant overtime and weekends as needed. Reliability and punctuality are crucial, as the role is production-based. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work on multiple civil closeout sites in a new construction environment. Be prepared to work in very hot and humid conditions during the summer. The work schedule is 50 hours per week, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break and short breaks in the morning and afternoon. Safety is paramount; you will need to wear appropriate PPE including a hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, reflective vest, and gloves. Strict adherence to safety protocols is required, with two safety offenses resulting in termination. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Farnham, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
