Job Title: Manufacturing Mechanic Location: Farmington, NY Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a skilled Electrician / Automation Technician to join a growing manufacturing facility in Farmington, NY. This hands-on role supports the electrical, mechanical, and automation needs of the plant. You'll work with modern manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot complex systems, and play a key role in maintaining safe and efficient operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional looking to grow within a technically advanced environment. Pay Rate: $27.00 - $31.00/Hour, Based On Exp. Shifts Available: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, M - F 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, M - F Some flexibility may be required for occasional overtime, early starts, weekend support, or off-shift coverage based on business needs. Key Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in compliance with NEC and NFPA 70E Perform advanced troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and fluid-power systems Support upgrades and improvements to automated manufacturing equipment Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation Diagnose automation and control-related issues Install conduit systems, lighting, control systems, motor feeders, and motor connections Inspect, test, and verify electrical systems using meters and diagnostic tools Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance on manufacturing equipment Mentor and support less-experienced maintenance team members Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment Respond to unscheduled maintenance needs as required Qualifications: Strong experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance Background in automation and troubleshooting complex manufacturing systems Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics Experience with PLC-driven or automated equipment preferred Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E safety standards Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed Strong safety mindset and problem-solving skills Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
