Position Overview As a Restoration and Reconstruction Estimator Specialist, you will have a crucial role in managing and crafting estimates for a variety of projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. In this role, you will collaborate with clients to provide accurate and competitive estimates using Xactimate software. You will also ensure the seamless progress of projects from initiation to completion, maintaining open lines of communication regarding budgets and timelines. This position is available for candidates who complete the required BELFOR training successfully. Responsibilities Establish and foster relationships locally, primarily with insurance adjusters, business owners, schools, and municipalities. Create detailed floor plans using Xactimate Sketch. Ensure a thorough understanding of necessary building codes. Develop and closely monitor project budgets, quickly addressing variances as they arise. Utilize BELFOR naming conventions in all estimates, revised estimates, proposals, and change orders. Manage the construction schedule and collaborate with trades and management to ensure timely project completion, providing innovative solutions when additional resources are required. Show proficiency in source removal, decontamination, mitigation, containment, ventilation, contents treatment, and deodorization techniques. Engage in continuous education through BELFOR University, including basic Xactimate training to achieve certification. Independently manage your workload while ensuring safety and cleanliness of your vehicle. Timely completion of all incident reports is essential. Demonstrate strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills. Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats. Contribute positively to continuous improvement initiatives to position BELFOR USA Group, Inc as an industry leader. Adhere to company policies and standards consistently. Requirements Build and maintain a client book relevant to your position as Estimator, Senior Estimator, or more senior roles. Serve as the primary contact for owners, adjusters, and consultants, focusing on scope development and negotiations. Cooperate in coordinating emergency services when needed, including responses to water, fire, and vandalism damage. Proactively identify potential site hazards (such as asbestos, lead paint, mold, etc.). Conduct yourself with professionalism and courtesy at all times, remaining responsive to inquiries. Apply industry TPA Program standards and ensure compliance with all requirements. Work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Exercise meticulous attention to detail to protect client property and information. Attend necessary operations and safety training sessions regularly. Qualifications Fluency in English. Familiarity with MSDS data sheets and their job relevance. Skilled in BELFOR estimate format standards for Xactimate. Extensive experience in customer service. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Xactimate. Exhibit professionalism and possess excellent telephone communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with others while maintaining a professional demeanor. Physical Demands Frequent lifting of objects over 50 lbs without assistance. Sitting for extended periods. Manual dexterity necessary for keyboard and repetitive tasks. Ability to bend, crouch, and stand as necessary.
