You will actively engage patients and clients concerning customer service programs offered by the pharmacy. You will maintain established procedures regarding quality assurance and security of controlled substances. You will enter data to maintain pharmacy files, charge systems, and inventory. You will instruct interns and other pharmacy personnel on pharmacy matters. You must maintain awareness of third-party Rx systems and resolve rejection problems promptly. Reporting prescription errors immediately is required and adherence to policies regarding medication incidents is essential. You should maintain awareness of loss prevention controls to minimize profit loss. Developing and maintaining good working relationships with healthcare professionals is important. You will synthesize complex information and use your experience to complement data. You should pursue training and development opportunities to stay abreast of new pharmacy-related programs.
