Advanced General Maintenance Technician

General Summary The Advanced General Maintenance Technician is responsible for assessing, assisting, and executing maintenance tasks throughout the facility, maintaining accurate documentation, and prioritizing projects to meet operational and regulatory standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Apply your expertise to perform routine and emergency maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Maintain clear communication with staff and management regarding maintenance progress, issues, and project updates. Document maintenance activities, including history, costs, and safety concerns. Coordinate with various departments to manage repair costs and scheduling. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and establishing safety zones during work. Respond promptly to maintenance calls, both routine and urgent, independently or as part of a team. Education High school diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or vocational training in maintenance is preferred but not mandatory. Experience A minimum of two years of general maintenance experience is required. Candidates with five years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal technical training. Certification/License No specific certifications or licenses are required for this position. Mental and Physical Requirements Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, perform necessary calculations, and operate power tools and machinery. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 35 pounds without assistance. Must be able to wear an N-95 mask as required.
