Daycare Director Faison Daycare Daycare Director Qualifications Computer Skills Job Description: Job Description Job Descriptions Daycare Director Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a childcare center, including staff management, financial oversight, curriculum development, and ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Key Duties: Staff and administration Hire, train, and supervise staff. Manage staff schedules and conduct performance evaluations. Maintain records for children, staff, and licensing. Develop and manage budgets. (coordinates with Director of Finance). Create and implement operational policies and procedures. Program and curriculum Plan and develop educational programs and activities for children. Ensure program activities are age-appropriate and meet developmental needs. Oversee the ordering of supplies, such as teaching materials and first aid supplies. Create and maintain a safe and clean facility. Meal planning and ordering of kitchen supplies. Compliance and safety Ensure the facility and staff comply with all state and local licensing and safety regulations. Conduct regular emergency drills and maintain all necessary safety plans. Oversee the maintenance of children's health and immunization records. Parent and community relations Communicate with parents about their child's progress and the center's services. Handle parent inquiries and complaints. Greet visitors and lead tours of the facility. Engage in community and public relations with prospective clients and organizations. Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Combination of early childhood education (ECE) coursework and experience. Batchelor's in Early Childhood Education or Business Administration (preferred) Successful completion of EDU 261 and EDU 262 courses. CPR and First Aid certification are required. Health Screen including TB Test Completion of Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) training. Early Childhood Credentials or enrolled in class within the first 6 months of employment. Successful completion of Pro Solutions training. Successful completion of Recognizing & Responding to Suspicions of Child Maltreatment. A clear criminal background check in the State of North Carolina; including FBI and state policy checks. and health screening (including a TB test). Key skills include patience, creativity, strong communication and interpersonal skills, adaptability, and physical stamina.
