This role follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week onsite and the remaining days working remotely. Standard hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm.About the role:The Visual Merchandising Designer plays a key role in shaping the look, feel, and experience of Phillip Jeffries showrooms and brand environments. This position combines creative design, hands-on execution, and thoughtful project management. You will help bring our collections to life through visual storytelling while ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with the brand across all spaces.This role also includes leadership responsibilities and close collaboration with cross-functional partners across Design, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.What You Will Be Doing:Innovative Display DesignDesign and execute elevated visual displays that support showroom storytelling and salesCreate and refresh:Showroom propsWindow box displaysSecondary displays, including pegboardFlorals and seasonal stylingShowroom vignettes and product selectionsEnsure all displays align with brand standards and enhance the client experienceTradeshows, Pop-Ups, and EventsSupport the design and execution of:TradeshowsPop-up showroomsInternal and client-facing eventsProduct launches and campaign momentsPartner with internal teams to ensure a cohesive visual message across all activationsPlanograms and Merchandising SystemsCreate and maintain planograms and display guidelines that scale across showroomsSupport Master Collection Rotation and Master Item Rotation (planned to be removed; date to be determined)Support Showroom Sales Tools Production and Fulfillment (planned to be removed by the end of 2025)Project Management and ExecutionOwn projects from concept through installationBuild and manage project plans, timelines, and budgetsAllocate resources effectively across multiple prioritiesIdentify risks early and communicate challenges with clear, thoughtful solutionsSource, onboard, and oversee wallcovering installers for wings and vignettesTrain showroom staff on new installations, standards, and ongoing maintenanceShowroom Experience and CollaborationCollaborate with cross-functional teams on launch and campaign developmentResearch visual merchandising trends and regional sales insightsMaintain visual standards and conduct audits to ensure consistency and quality across installationsLeadership ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day guidance and direction to junior team membersAssign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines are metSupport skill development through coaching and constructive feedbackHelp junior staff navigate shifting priorities and obstaclesConduct one-to-one meetings and participate in formal performance reviewsWhat You BringExperience and EducationBachelor's degree in Interior Design, Merchandising, or a related field4- 6 years of experience in visual merchandising or store design, ideally within luxury or premium retailA strong portfolio showcasing creative display work and showroom executionUnderstanding of retail, sales, and marketing strategies within the luxury design spaceAbility to travel for projects approximately three days per monthSkillsStrong visual storytelling and spatial design skillsConfident use of color theory and product placementKnowledge of wallcovering installation and related calculationsProject planning, timeline tracking, and risk managementExperience leading one to two direct reportsClear communicator who raises challenges alongside solutionsAbility to prioritize, multitask, and stay organized under deadlinesCreative problem solver who adapts easily in a fast-paced environmentSystems and ToolsDesign software: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), SketchUp, CADOffice tools: Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, TeamsProject tools: Wrike and budget tracking toolsPersonal AttributesStrong communication and presentation skillsHighly detail-oriented and organizedSelf-sufficient, adaptable, and proactiveProfessional presence that represents the brand wellCollaborative, team-first mindsetWhy Phillip Jeffries?As a purpose-driven organization, we truly believe that where you work matters.
