Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Psychiatric Services position in Maine, requiring at least 1 year of mental health nursing experience and active ME or compact RN licensure. Job Details • Work in an Emergency Psychiatric Services (Crisis Psychiatric Unit) department at a comprehensive behavioral health facility in Maine, • Patient population includes individuals ages 5 and up with psychiatric illnesses, including major depression, bipolar disorder, adjustment disorder, psychotic disorders, and patients seeking detoxification, • Some patients may also present with co-occurring medical care needs, • Night shift: 7p-7a, • 13-week contract, • Flexibility required to support 24/7 coverage needs, Job Requirements • Active ME RN license or compact RN license currently in hand - no licensure hits, • Minimum 1 year of mental health nursing experience required, • Associate's degree (2-year) in Nursing required, • Current BLS/BCLS certification required, • Current CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required prior to start, • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, • Ability to manage stress and make sound decisions under pressure, • Strong team collaboration skills, Additional Information • Responsible for direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all assigned areas, • Develops and periodically updates individualized, interdisciplinary care plans and evaluates patient outcomes, • Identifies and connects patients with available community and clinical resources, • Previous employees of St. Mary's Regional Medical Center are not eligible for this position, • Local candidates are eligible but will be offered a lower pay rate, • COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
