Job Description:As an International Operations Agent, you will be operationally responsible for managing all aspects of international air and ocean shipments from start to finish. This includes booking shipments, coordinating with overseas agents, customer communication, exception management, and cradle-to-grave tracking of freight. You will ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing professional service and timely, accurate updates. You’ll work closely with Omni’s US offices and global partners to deliver seamless logistics solutions.This position requires a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Core Responsibilities & Duties:Provide professional customer service for international clientsGenerate accurate and competitive air freight quotes for import and export movementsSupport ocean freight operations as needed, including coordination, tracking, and documentationCreate and execute international shipment files from cradle to graveMaintain strong vendor relationships and support development effortsPrepare and submit client reportsInvoice for services rendered and reconcile agent profit sharesMaintain consistent communication with Omni’s US offices and global agentsCollaborate with other departments to ensure exceptional service deliveryHandle exception reporting and communicate updates to Sales and ManagementPerform additional duties as assigned by management Job Requirements & Qualifications:Bilingual in English and Spanish is required2+ years of freight forwarding experience in import/export requiredCollege degree or equivalent experience preferredStrong knowledge of international shipping operations (air & ocean)Experience with Cargo-Wise is a plus Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborativelyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProven problem-solving and analytical abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectivelyComfortable working under tight deadlinesPositive attitude, hardworking, and committed to following instructions Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #LI-KK1#LI-Onsite Forward Air is a leading asset-light provider of transportation services across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.
