Details Work setting is a hospital Operating Room (OR) department 10-hour day shifts with a 0630 start time (8-hour shifts also possible) 4 days per week, 40 hours per week Weekend and on-call availability required as needed Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required Epic EMR used; experience preferred but not required — on-site training available Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular OR experience is a plus Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license required BLS required, completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross ACLS and PALS preferred (if obtained, must be from an approved provider) Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a large OR setting required Must be able to scrub ADN or ASN degree required At least one completed 13-week travel assignment required English fluency required (speaking, reading, and writing) Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to work as part of a team Additional Information Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation Coordinates care through collaboration with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team Responsible for administering medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols Assumes clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel as needed Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible Former permanent staff of this health system must have a one-year waiting period before being considered as a traveler First-time travelers are not eligible for this position American Traveler Job ID #P-680158.
