As a result of our success, we have a full-time position available for an Experienced Project Manager to join our Architecture West group. This exciting opportunity is available at our office locations in Portland (OR), Scottsdale (AZ), Sacramento (CA), and San Diego (CA). This candidate would lead project teams focused on delivering architectural services for airport and federal project types including airport terminals, support buildings, readiness centers, maintenance facilities, hangars, fire stations, training facilities, emergency operations centers, and other projects as needed.ResponsibilitiesManaging medium to large projects for budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocationDeveloping and managing client contacts to secure future workDeveloping proposals including scope and pricingProviding project quality controlWorking closely with clients and contractor/developer design/build partnersDeveloping and executing project workplansScheduling and facilitating team and client meetingsDeveloping and delivering presentations to clients, partnersDeveloping deliverables for projects, including drawings and specificationsCoordinating multi-disciplinary in-house and sub-consultant team membersAssisting with coordinating and leading project teamsDeveloping and delivering presentations to clients, partners, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)Other tasks as assigned.A valid drivers license and travel (approximately 25%) will be required.QualificationsThe successful candidate must have the following:A professional degree in architecture or other related field from an accredited college or universityAt least 7 years of related experience, with 5 years of relevant technical experience and at least 2 years of project management experienceORIf no degree, must have at least 11 years of relevant experience including technical work and at least 2 of those years must include managing projects.The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:Experience managing medium to large projectsExperience working on and/or managing aviation or government projectsExperience developing new clients and maintaining relationships with current clientsExperience developing proposals including scope and pricingExperience with quality controlExperience mentoring less experienced staffExperience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.A professional license in architecture with NCARB certification is highly preferred.
