After Care Program Staff

Mother Seton School, a pre-K – grade 8 Catholic school located in Emmitsburg, MD and sponsored by the Daughters of Charity, is seeking an After Care Program Staff Member beginning August 24, 2026. The ideal candidate will be a responsible, caring, and energetic individual to join our After Care team.  The After Care Staff Member plays a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for students after the school day ends.  This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to their well-being and development. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and distribute daily after-school snacksGreet and check students into the after-care programSupervise and engage with students during indoor and outdoor playtimeOversee and assist students during homework and quiet timeMaintain a clean, safe, and orderly environmentMonitor student behavior and support positive interactionsEnsure a secure and organized student pickup processCommunicate effectively with parents, staff, and students as neededFollow all school/program policies and procedures Qualifications:Previous experience working with children (preferred)Dependable, punctual, and able to work independentlyStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage groups of children in a calm and positive mannerMust pass background check and complete necessary Maryland state childcare requirements Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively engage with children Compensation: $15.00 per hour, dependent on experience; not benefits eligible Hours:Monday - Friday, 2:45 PM - 6:00 PM  To apply, send resume, cover letter, two professional references, and one personal reference to Kathy Kilty, .
