Job Description:
Position Summary The Lean / ISO Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing principles while maintaining and improving the company's ISO management systems. This role leads waste reduction initiatives, standardizes processes, ensures compliance with quality standards, and supports sustainable continuous improvement across all manufacturing and support functions. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead Lean initiatives using DMAIC, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping methodologies. Identify and eliminate waste (Defects, Overproduction, Waiting, Non-Utilized Talent, Transportation, Inventory, Motion, Extra Processing). Develop and implement Standard Work and visual management systems. Implement and sustain 5S workplace organization programs. Improve OEE, productivity, and process flow in manufacturing operations. Maintain ISO 9001 (and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 if applicable) management systems. Manage internal audit programs and coordinate external certification audits. Maintain document control and revision systems. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes. Conduct root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, 8D) and implement corrective measures. Support PFMEA and Control Plan development. Develop performance dashboards and KPI reporting. Validate financial savings from continuous improvement initiatives. Train employees on Lean principles and ISO requirements. Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience managing ISO management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred QualificationsLean Six Sigma Green Belt (Desired). Certified ISO Internal Auditor. Experience in extrusion, fabrication, or metal manufacturing (Desired). Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools (FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA). Core CompetenciesLeadership and influence without authority.
