Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist - Elk Grove, California

We are urgently seeking experienced per diem pharmacists to join a dynamic retail pharmacy team supporting multiple locations throughout Northern California. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists who are currently working part-time and want to pick up additional shifts in a flexible schedule. Locations with immediate need: Sacramento area (2-3 pharmacists) Bay Area/North Bay (2-3 pharmacists) Northern California (Redding, Chico - 1-2 pharmacists) Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality pharmaceutical care in retail pharmacy settings Manage pharmacy operations including opening and closing procedures Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions using McKesson Enterprise (ERx) and Rx30 systems Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining regulatory compliance Travel up to and around assigned areas to provide coverage as requested, averaging 1-2 shifts per week Desired Experience and Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience preferred Proficient in pharmacy management software such as McKesson ERx and Rx30 Ability to manage pharmacy operations including tech supervision Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to commute and provide on-demand per diem coverage Additional Information: Per diem schedule with flexible shifts averaging 1-2 per week Mileage reimbursement available for travel exceeding 30 miles one way If you have an updated resume, a completed skills checklist, and a retail manager reference available, this role offers an ideal way to supplement your current hours while supporting busy pharmacy locations at peak demand.
