Armed Transportation Officer - Up to $3k/week

Pay is based on numerous factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Position Overview:As an Armed Transportation Officer, you will be responsible for providing armed security services for transport operations in support of an immigration processing and custodial facility. This position demands constant vigilance, a commitment to state and federal compliance, and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments.Responsibilities:Execute safe escorts to authorized locations, maintaining strict order and discipline throughout the journey.Maintain meticulous, legible logs for all transport security activities, incidents, and equipment inventories.Maintain and carry authorized gear, including a semi-automatic pistol, ballistic vest, and restraint hardware.Ensure all communication devices are fully functional.Monitors transportees and maintains control and order at all times.Monitor the physical well-being of transportees, ensuring all interactions follow appropriate policies and organizational standards.Act as a first responder to disturbances, medical emergencies, or evacuations with poise and sound judgment.Required Qualifications:Must possess an active Texas state Armed Security license.Minimum of one (1) year of experience in private security, law enforcement, or military experience. Must be able to provide proof of citizenship or legal US work authorization. If prior active-duty military, must provide copies of DD214(s) showing discharge condition.Must consent to fingerprinting.Must be at least 21 years of age.Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Clean criminal record and ability to pass a comprehensive background check and security screening.Ability to pass a preemployment medical assessment and drug screening.Excellent communication, observation, and report-writing skills.Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and in high-stress situations.Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Work Environment and Location:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
