Nurse Practitioner Urgent Care Full-Time Edmond OK Salary $135,000 $140,000 per year About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality urgent care services during evening and weekend shifts. This role offers the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise in diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of acute and urgent medical conditions in a fast-paced, supportive environment. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes and continuity of care. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments to determine urgent care needs Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and infections Perform minor procedures such as suturing, wound care, splinting, and minor surgical interventions Prescribe medications and treatments based on evidence-based clinical guidelines Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., X-rays, laboratory tests) Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams Adhere to clinical protocols, best practices, and regulatory standards Provide patient-centered care with empathy, professionalism, and compassion Qualifications Master s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, or Master s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program Active Oklahoma license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or a related field preferred Skilled in performing urgent care procedures and managing acute medical conditions Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment Availability to work evening and weekend shifts as scheduled Compensation & Benefits Comprehensive Benefits Packageincluding: 401(k) with employer matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Health savings account (HSA) Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Flexible scheduling options Education Bachelor s degree: Preferred Experience: Minimum 1 year as NP or PA (required)
