Position Requires the following skills - No ExceptionsFamiliar with writing policies and proceduresMust have previous experience in Hematology/OncologyMust be Certified Lab Tech Responsibilites:You will assume responsibilities for laboratory services of assigned patients under the supervision of the lab manager or physician in assigned areas according to established standards and practices.Provide laboratory services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the MLT as defined by the MLT Certification program.Perform clinical laboratory procedures in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunohematology, immunology, and other areas of the clinical laboratoryMonitor quality to maintain high performance.Utilize state-of-the-art equipmentUse established and approved protocol that require a broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision.Responsible for operating, maintaining, and validating instrumentation/equipment and records.Troubleshooting of equipment, instruments, and proceduresRecognized factors affecting measurement and takes appropriate action.Monitor quality control, proficiency testing and quality assurance activities related to test performance.Determine results that are abnormal or deviated from volved in special projects, evaluations, and implementation of new methodologies in the laboratory.Support and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate for serving patients of all ages.Demonstrate customer service principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers.Requirements:High School Diploma or GED andAssociate Degree Graduated from certified Medical Laboratory Technician Program -OR-Bachelor's degree with necessary science/math credits as required and verified by the ASCPCertification REQUIREDBoard of Certification (BOC).
