Inpatient Staff Pharmacist | Edison, New Jersey

An Inpatient/Clinical Pharmacist opportunity is available requiring a dynamic professional to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. This role focuses on supporting patient care through medication management, clinical rounding, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Location: Edison, NJ Position Type: Contract (12 weeks, with strong potential to extend to 24 weeks) Schedule: Mixed shifts of days/evenings (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM) Rotating weekends Key Responsibilities: Provide pharmacy coverage across the hospital including transitional care units Deliver patient drug information and support medication reconciliation efforts Participate in clinical rounding as necessary with the healthcare team Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary professionals to ensure optimal outcomes Desired Qualifications: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of inpatient/clinical pharmacy experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for interacting with patients and healthcare staff Proficiency with EPIC software or similar electronic health record systems Active and valid pharmacy license to practice in New Jersey Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment Additional Requirements: Submission of a COVID-19 vaccination card with application Provide professional references and verification of credentials as part of the selection process Candidates with solid clinical experience and a patient-centered approach will thrive in this role.
