Job TitleLogistics Support Specialist - Command Analytical and Remediation Activity (CARA)LocationEdgewood, MD 21040 US (Primary)Job TypeFull-TimeJob Description/AnnouncementSTS International is seeking a Logistics Support Specialist for an existing program that provides administrative, logistics, sustainment and supportability services and support to ensure the operational readiness and mission success of the 20th CBRNE Command. The 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) Command deploys to support unified land operations and performs mission command for Army and/or joint CBRNE and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) forces. The CBRNE Analytical and Remediation Activity (CARA) plays a critical role in achieving Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) objectives and is responsible for deploying in support of combatant commanders or other government agencies to conduct remediation and restoration operations. The support of the Logistics Support Specialist is essential to ensure the operational readiness and mission success of the 20th CBRNE Command.Position Roles and ResponsibilitiesProvide Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) services for Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) equipment and Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).Provide comprehensive CLS, including acquisition logistics, training, and related services, to support the operation, maintenance, and sustainment of all assigned systems and equipment.Maintain and update maintenance records, preventive maintenance schedules, supply levels, and maintenance/calibration notifications (with notifications provided 90 and 30 days prior to due dates).Manage assets for turn-in, receipt, and ongoing management to maintain readiness.Support the development and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans for assigned equipment, accounting for Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment transactions.Review, update and maintain schedules and events for component repair, preventative maintenance, calibration, and equipment warranties/maintenance service contracts and applicable maintenance plans.Review and update Work Order (WO) Status for repairs and ensure equipment is tracked during shipment, while at the OEM, and until it is returned to Government control.Minimum/General ExperienceEducation and Certifications Requirement:Active DoD SecretHigh School Diploma or equivalent and a completed apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.Minimum of 2 years of experience with Army Logistics and DoD supply ordering systems.Logistics certified through official military school or private sector experience is preferred.
