If you're looking for a company that values culture as much as performance and treats its people as long-term partners - this is it.Job DetailsOur client is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee the financial policies and accounting practices of a joint-venture organization comprising three companies in the HVAC and distribution industry, servicing sixteen states from multiple branch locations.About the Job:This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will initially travel heavily to Oregon, Seattle, and Alaska to work directly with each of the three portfolio companies - getting them up to speed on US GAAP compliance, standardizing financial processes, and building a strong accounting foundation at each entity. As things stabilize you will work toward consolidating financials across all three companies and driving future synergies. -Travel will be significant in the first 6-12 months and taper to approximately once per quarter as the foundation is built.You will also lead a critical ERP implementation - migrating from Sage to Acumatica across the organization.Responsibilities include:Directing AP, AR, cash management, tax, and year-end audit preparationProducing financial statements and maintaining accurate accounting recordsImplementing and maintaining internal controls across all three entitiesLeading the annual budget processManaging a direct team of 8-10 accounting professionalsConsolidating financial reporting across multiple company systemsEnsuring GAAP compliance across all entitiesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA and/or MBA preferred10+ years of accounting management experience including management of complex, multi-entity accounting operationsDemonstrated experience leading accounting teams across multi-location or complex organizationsExperience with ERP systems and implementations - Acumatica and Sage experience strongly preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP and ability to implement compliance standards across multiple entitiesExperience consolidating financials across multiple companies or business unitsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple assignments simultaneously including remote staffSignificant experience in Microsoft Office - advanced Excel requiredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility and willingness to travel heavily in the first 6-12 months - Pacific Northwest and AlaskaMust be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the full accounting function at each entityHigh level of confidentiality and professional integrity requiredLocation: Fully on-site in Eden Prairie, MN or Brooklyn Park, MNTravel: Heavy travel required in first 6-12 months to Oregon, Seattle, and Alaska.
