Director of Human ResourcesLocation: Eau Claire, WI (Onsite) Compensation: $125,000-$165,000 base salary About the Opportunity Pathway Talent Partners is partnering with a rapidly growing, midsize manufacturing company in the Eau Claire area to recruit a Director of Human Resources. With approximately 250 employees and continued expansion ahead, the organization is at a pivotal stage where strong people strategy, scalable HR infrastructure, and effective leadership development are essential. This is a senior, handson HR leadership role for an experienced HR professional who can balance strategic vision with operational execution. The Director of HR will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, helping shape culture, build leadership capability, and align people practices with business growth. Position Summary The Director of Human Resources leads the overall HR strategy and function, ensuring that talent, culture, and people processes support the organization's operational and growth objectives. This role oversees all core HR disciplines including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, compliance, and organizational effectiveness. As a member of the leadership team, the Director of HR partners closely with senior leaders and plant management to drive workforce planning, leadership development, engagement, and retention in a manufacturing environment. The role is both strategic and executionfocused, building scalable HR systems while remaining closely connected to employees and leaders on the floor. Key Responsibilities HR Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership and department heads Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team while establishing bestinclass HR practices Champion company culture, values, and employee engagement initiatives Talent & Workforce Management Oversee talent acquisition strategies to support growth and workforce needs Lead workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development efforts Partner with leaders on performance management, coaching, and employee development Support onboarding and retention initiatives to improve employee experience Employee Relations & Compliance Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance issues, and conflict resolution Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Oversee policy development, documentation, and consistent application across the organization Support labor and employee relations in a manufacturing environment Compensation, Benefits & Total Rewards Oversee compensation structures, incentive programs, and benefits offerings Partner with leadership to ensure total rewards programs are competitive and aligned with business strategy Lead annual compensation planning, performance reviews, and merit processes Organizational Effectiveness & Change Leadership Support organizational design and change initiatives related to growth and operational improvements Drive continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and reporting Use data and metrics to inform decisionmaking and measure HR impact Required Qualifications 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership of an HR function Experience supporting a manufacturing or operationsintensive environment preferred Proven ability to operate as a strategic HR leader while remaining handson Strong working knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices Experience leading teams and influencing senior leaders Skills & Competencies The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to: Build credibility and influence at all levels of the organization Balance strategic thinking with practical execution Lead through growth, change, and complexity Communicate clearly, confidently, and effectively Maintain confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment Foster a positive, accountable, and inclusive workplace culture
