HTI is assisting an international automotive supplier with their search for an experienced Production Manager at their Duncan, SC manufacturing facility. This is a direct hire, full-time, salaried position. The company offers excellent benefits and opportunities for growth. The salary range is approximately $115,000 - $125,000 / year, depending on experience and education.Summary:Responsible for management of all plant production operations, including machining, stamping, assembly, and production planning, as well as direction of 5-10 Supervisors and ~250 hourly employees. Plans, schedules and coordinates departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely manner. Manages and mentors production team members in order to maintain motivation, teamwork and continuous improvement. Reports production related issues and repairs and makes recommendations for corrective actions pertaining to production problems. This position reports to the plant General Manager.Requirements:Must have 5+ years of recent experience as a Production Manager with an automotive supplier manufacturing facility, with at least 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing/productionMust have recent experience managing a plant production department with at least 5+ Supervisors and 150+ employees on multiple shiftsSix Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S experienceAssociate's or Bachelor's degree is strongly preferredMust have ISO/TS-16949 experience, TISAX experience preferredStrong leadership, mentoring, and training abilitiesIntermediate-level computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and OutlookERP system experience; SAP strongly preferredPrior experience with quality processes and tools, including Control Plans, PPAP, and FMEAMath and statistical skills with the ability to analyze KPI and reporting dataStrong written and verbal communication skillsJob Duties include:Ensure safe practices and foster a safety-first mindset among all employees; maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring that all safety protocols are followedCoordinate with plant leadership to establish site specific policies, operating procedures, and KPI's to maintain and exceed customer quality requirements and on-time deliveryLead the Production team and serve as the management representative for production related mattersDirect management of production supervisors for three-shift operationEnsure consistent and accurate shift to shift communicationReview production schedules to make decisions concerning inventory, staffing, work procedures, and job assignments while communicating with Materials departmentDevelop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of productConduct audits and assessments to identify potential areas of risk and develop mitigation strategiesMaintain audit compliance as it relates to the Production Manager function, including include IATF, ISO, and TISAXParticipate in ISO/TS-16949 initiatives for the plantOversee the inspection of parts and products to verify conformance to specificationsCommunicate with supervisors and administrative, logistics/materials, and maintenance teams to resolve production and processing problems, and to improve existing processes that effect productionDevelop and implement changes in production processes to increase efficiencyCoordinate with HR team to provide production related trainingEnforce quality control systems to meet and exceed customers' expectationsParticipate in the APQP and PPAP process, as well as corrective and/or preventive measuresAdditional duties as assignedResponsible for the following KPI's:Shop Floor Excellence (SFE) goal of 85% or greaterAnnual Department Turnover rate of less than 10%Zero recordable accidents and submission of all accident reports in less than 24 hours3% annual cost reductionsIncoming Quality
