Job Description:
Offering relocation assistance/startup bonus. This position does require physical labor. This is full time field position. Applicants MUST have minimum of 5 years' experience in waterline/sewer line/storm drain for underground utility work. MUST also have minimum of 5 years' management experience. References will be required. Position is a weekly salary. Applicants must live within a 60-mile radius of Dumas, Tx. All work will be based out of Dumas, Tx. Company vehicle will be provided from our yard to job location daily. We work within Texas and Oklahoma panhandle, and eastern New Mexico. Some overnight stays required but will be compensated with per diem. Must be able to handle physical labor, and all elements of weather. Wages vary depending on experience. Job is subject to pre-employment drug testing, and random drug testing. MUST HAVE VALID TEXAS DRIVERS LICENSE THAT WILL PASS AN INSURANCE MVR. Benefits, including health, vision, dental, & life insurance. PTO (12 days a year), paid holidays (10 days a year), are available after probationary period. Job responsibilities would include (but not limited to): 1. Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule. 2. Responsible for site safety. Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies. Conduct weekly safety meetings. 3. Work to budget, forecast, and manage field personnel as well as management of labor, equipment, materials, tools, and other cost considerations. 4. Prepare work plans and locate site staging areas. 5. Understand, review, and manage project plans, specifications, and manufacturer's data and execute project based upon said documentation. 6. Review construction documents for completeness and constructability. 7. Manage the overall project, assist in creating the master schedule and updating it on a weekly basis. 8. Generate RFI's (Requests for Information) as required to ensure completeness of the project documents and identifying and clarifying any discrepancies. 9. Review submittals for compliance with project manual and plans, manufacturer's recommendations and code, or other standards applicable to the system. 10. Conduct on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trades lead personnel. 11. Manage subcontractors for all work performed on-site. 12. Management and supervision of work crews on-site including… a. Mentor and train field personnel. This will include physical labor. b. Manage field personnel and their duties and ensure all have resources and information to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently. c. Provide performance evaluations of field personnel. d. Manage the overall safety of the project and ensure all personnel have resources to perform their work safely. 14. Other duties could include… a. Work with the project team to maintain relationships with owners, visitors, subcontractors and suppliers. b. Manage site work and logistics of construction site. c. Provide feedback on processes and procedures. d. Must be a team player. e. Must be committed to the job. Some after hours work and thought will be required. f. Organization skills required. g. Must have good communication, and people skills. h. Must have clean driving record, and experience pulling small trailers.
