We operate within a fast paced, team-oriented, rewarding work environment that allows our employees to develop and thrive.As the DOT Clerk, you will be a critical member of the Baily International Transportation Team with a basic purpose to perform clerical functions to support all aspects of the transportation office.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Answer Incoming calls and resolve driver, sales representatives and customer issues as needed. - Populating/creating/updating various spreadsheets/departmental reports. - Files the repair orders and DVIRs (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports)- Monitor PM & DOT paperwork- Utilize various systems and software to prepare periodic reports (MS Excel, Red , Samsara, Tandem, ) - Track vacation requests after approved by Manager; coordinate transportation vacation coverage schedule - Track fleet through Samsara system-Liase interdepartmentally and with vendors to ensure drivers dispatch timely by tackling loading/mechanical issues if needed -Process driver trip sheets and assist with the maintenance of driver logs/files to ensure 100% compliance.-General clerical duties as assigned Hours of Work: 5:00AM to 2:00PM Monday to Friday (Saturday as needed) Qualifications & Related experience High School Diploma/GED required with a 2 year minimum experience in Transportation Admin/clerical function. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Individual must have the ability to prioritize assignments and effectively multi-task. Must have STRONG organizational/communication skills and be able to work under minimal supervision. Requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, Experience using tracking systems (Samsara preferred). Must possess strong analytical, mathematical and organizational skills. Have a strong knowledge of DOT rules and regulations per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
