Be committed to Sussex County Vocational Technical School District's mission, vision, and values. Prior experience as a school district administrator preferred. Performance Responsibilities: Serve as lead human resources administrator for the school district. Oversee the hiring process including recruitment, interviewing and onboarding. Support adult education program with human resources process and policy. Oversee all district policies for human resources. Produce and update district procedure handbooks. Work to recruit and retain teachers and staff to ensure low turnover and a highly effective and equitable workforce. Manage all functions of the Frontline Information Management system. Lead new teacher mentoring process and ensure all new teachers are supported and fulfill requirements for continuing licensure. Manage all staff leave including paid parental leave, FMLA, earned leave, worker's compensation, paid family medical leave, and short-term and long-term disability leave. Collaborate with payroll department to ensure that salaries and stipends are correctly dispersed and that employees are supported with access to benefits. Serve as liaison with DSEA, STEA and STSEA to implement negotiated agreements. Monitor all required trainings for staff and ensure District adherence to any state requirements or mandates. Serve as a member of the District administrative cabinet. Oversee student disciplinary procedures and serve as liaison with the Department of Education School Climate team. Support school counseling and social work plans for students. Oversee all staff evaluations and serve as District contact and lead for the DTGSS teacher evaluation system. Implement the employee of the year process. Provide reports as requested including the Office of Civil Rights annual report and/or other reporting requested by state and federal agencies. Other duties as assigned. Terms of Employment: Twelve (12) month administrative position. Salary and Benefits: Pension and benefit eligible position. Salary commensurate with verified qualifications, education, and experience.
