Our client is currently seeking a Travel L&D RN Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - Charge-Capable - Nights Specialty: RN - Labor & Delivery Start Date: 03/02/2026 Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience Required: 2+ years L&D plus charge experience (mandatory) Position Overview Night-shift L&D RN assignment Charge experience required - no exceptions Rotating weekends and holidays Full-scope LDRP environment (labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, newborn care) Floating required within facility as needed Unit Details Unit Type: Women's Services - LDRP Beds: LDRP: 9 OBED: 1 NICU: 4 (Level II) 1 OR suite Ratios: Active labor: 1:1 Inductions: 1:1 C-sections: 1:1 Couplet care: 1:3 Newborns: 1:1 until stable NICU: 1:3 intermediate care (minimum 2 NICU RNs on unit when NICU patients present) Staffing: No techs or unit secretaries Cross-trained staff may float between LDRP & NICU EMR: Meditech + CPN Equipment: CPN central monitoring Infant warmers IV pumps PCA pumps Bili-blankets Tele-med robot for neonatology Required Experience & Skills Must-Have Charge RN experience Labor & Delivery experience, including: Laboring and recovering mothers Receiving and transitioning newborns Full newborn assessment Experience with OB emergencies preferred: Shoulder dystocia Postpartum hemorrhage Other high-risk obstetric events Advanced Skills Fetal monitoring education Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) Typical Procedures C-sections Circumcisions Intrauterine monitoring Vacuum or forceps-assisted deliveries Required Certifications AHA BLS NRP Fetal Monitoring training Scheduling 3 shifts per week Rotating weekends & holidays PRN staff supplement schedule Floating required within facility Dress Code Pink and/or brown scrubs (required per infant security policy) Professional appearance required Personality Fit Strong communicator Calm under pressure Confident in high-acuity OB situations Team-oriented and supportive Additional Notes Highly experienced core staff (many with 30+ years) Strong team culture and supportive environment Excellent opportunity for broad LDRP experience
