Hatchery Sanitation At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package. The base hiring pay for this role is $20.50 per hour. Job Responsibilities Load trays, baskets, boxes and equipment in washer Ensure all hatching equipment is 100% free of debris Drain and fill water in tanks twice a day Scrub and disinfect all carts used to move eggs and poults Complete sanitation of the wash room at the end of each day Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Able to abide by strict bio-security guidelines Basic math skills Ability to grasp and pinch repeatedly with both hands, hand coordination to rotate wrists and manipulate poults with fingers and thumb of both hands Be able to work in a moderately dusty environment continuously Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
