Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Insulation Team Lead to oversee insulation projects on construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in insulation installation, and a comprehensive understanding of various construction disciplines. This role involves coordinating team efforts, ensuring safety standards, and delivering high-quality insulation work aligned with project specifications. The Insulation Team Lead will play a vital role in managing daily operations, mentoring team members, and maintaining efficient workflow throughout the project lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise insulation installation teams on commercial and residential construction sites.Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute insulation plans accurately.Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for insulation installation, caulking, and trim carpentry.Oversee the proper use of materials such as foam, fiberglass, spray foam, and other insulation products.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and building codes while maintaining a safe work environment.Conduct quality inspections to verify insulation meets specified standards and project requirements.Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices for insulation techniques and safety procedures.Manage material inventory, equipment maintenance, and work schedules to optimize productivity.Collaborate with other trades such as drywall, roofing, HVAC, masonry, and framing to coordinate project activities.ExperienceProven experience in construction site management or lead roles within the construction industry.Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and fabrication techniques.Familiarity with various construction disciplines including plastering, carpentry (trim carpentry, framing), roofing, stucco application, metal stud framing, concrete finishing, masonry work, HVAC systems, and construction painting.Mechanical knowledge related to building systems is highly desirable.Prior experience working on commercial or residential projects involving insulation installation is preferred.Ability to read technical drawings related to HVAC systems or schematics is a plus.
