The Role at a glance: We are excited to invite a dynamic and experienced food service manager to join our Corrections team. In this pivotal role, you will lead a dedicated staff of food service professionals and oversee all crucial aspects of the food service department, ensuring that our customers never miss a meal. This is a Non-Exempt position and compensation will be based on an hourly wage. What you'll be doing: Overseeing all functions of the food service department, managing resources effectively. Leading and inspiring a team, including recruiting and training new associates. Ensuring adherence to culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations. Managing departmental budgets, purchasing ingredients, and ensuring financial targets are met. Collaborating with the district manager and other departments regarding dining service operations. Responding to and addressing customer service needs proactively. What we're looking for: Must-haves: A minimum of two years' experience in coordinating food service operations. Experience in industrial cooking. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with hourly staff and company executives alike. Capability to manage in a diverse environment with a focus on client and customer satisfaction. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite. Nice-to-haves: ServSafe and/or HACCP certification.
