What is an Automotive Parts Specialist? This professional sales role requires extensive knowledge of automotive parts and systems, along with advanced store systems expertise. As an Automotive Parts Specialist, you will assist DIY customers with identification, troubleshooting, and project guidance, including special order sourcing and inventory management. This is a full-time position. Primary Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service during visits and phone interactions. Meet personal and store sales targets while achieving service objectives. Manage DIY services such as battery installations, testing, and wiper installations. Maintain high standards of store appearance and customer service. Handle key holder responsibilities, including task management and store opening/closing duties. Secondary Responsibilities: Assist with store inventory processes, including stock organization and cycle counts. Ensure store cleanliness and maintenance. Provide hands-on DIY services as needed. Success Factors: Effective communication and friendly customer interaction. Strong parts sourcing and stocking abilities. Knowledge of safety procedures and store equipment. Expertise in automotive systems and diagnostic equipment. Advanced sales and problem-solving skills. Essential Job Skills: In-depth understanding of automotive systems and diagnostics. Ability to effectively communicate in English; Spanish is a plus. Capability to interpret documents such as safety rules and manuals. Familiarity with basic math operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong organizational skills. Willingness to work varied hours including evenings and weekends. Prior Experience: 3-5 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales success in retail environments. Requirements: Must possess a valid driver's license. ASE certification is preferred, but not mandatory. Physical Demands: This position requires physical capability to perform various job functions. Compensation: The estimated hourly pay range for this role is between $16.45 and $18.10, depending on geographic location, retail experience, and automotive knowledge.
