Benefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurancePosition SummaryA Qualified Medication Administration Personnel is responsible for accurate and precise administration ofmedication to residents in a fast-paced environment, working closely with residents in a respectful manner.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Checks and follows guidelines for distribution of medications to designated residents in accordance withFederal, State and local guidelines Records scheduled and as needed (PRN) medications on the Electronic Medication Administration Record(EMAR) Annotates progress notes and monitors 72-hour medicine modificationsOrders medications that are due for re-orderParticipates in daily medications inventoriesResponsible for re-stocking med carts and keeping an accurate count of medicationsMaintains cleanliness of all areas, products and supplies, including med cartsAssists Personal Care ProvidersNotifies supervisory personnel of any situation pertaining to quality customer service, safety, productivity,security or any other situation that may have an adverse effect in the building, including resident rooms Demonstrates an understanding of medication terminology, equipment and techniques to make accurateconversions of liquid and scored medications Ability to use Physician's Desk Reference (PDR) to define medicinal use and cross-referencingResponsible for answering emergency and routine calls via the pendant call systemMakes beds and checks resident rooms for trash and soiled laundryAbility to document codes using iPadBasic Computer knowledgeOther tasks as assignedQualifications Must be 18 years of age, in accordance with Federal Law and StandardsColorado QMAP in good standingPassionate about working in an elderly community and exceptional customer serviceAble to perform arithmetic calculationsAbility to work independently, effectively manage own time and multi-task in a fast-paced environmentEffectively communicate with staff and elderly residentsAbility to read, understand and follow through with verbal and written instructionsWillingness to learn new tasks and processesMaintain a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the departmentMust meet a required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policiesMust pass pre-employment drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries.Physical Requirements Consistently required to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, grasp, twist and turn, talk, listen and hear.
