POSITION SUMMARY The Custom Project Manager coordinates communication, milestones, and key work efforts among the custom manufacturing process. This role ensures seamless project transitions across all stages of manufacturing, facilitating smooth handoffs to internal and external customs. Responsibilities include managing project timelines, maintaining updates, and ensuring file integrity to support efficient project execution. VALUES Innovation Commitment and Passion Integrity Team and Relationships DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and update the custom production build schedule daily using Smartsheets Assess and determine components required for production builds Prepare and maintain detailed manufacturing request sheets Oversee and balance production schedules with competing deadlines to ensure timely execution Communicate effectively with external vendors when necessary to support production needs Identify schedule delays and proactively communicate issues to facilitate corrective action Develop and maintain comprehensive job checklists to ensure process efficiency Allocate shop space for projects based on operational priorities Coordinate and lead job check-in meetings to track progress and address challenges Monitor and maintain operational capacity to support production demands Identifies potential risks throughout the process, assesses impact on timelines, and develops mitigation strategies Identify labor and resources needed to complete projects on time Manage and update the visual pin board to ensure clear project tracking. Audit job progress and Smartsheets to ensure accuracy and alignment with schedules. Evaluate and report non-conformance records (NCRs) related to custom builds. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support team objectives. ATTRIBUTES Business analysis to align projects with capabilities and resources Strong project management, discovery, and facilitation skills High level of attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with teammates and internal customers Ability to adapt to changes in schedule based on production needs QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2 years' project management experience Associate degree, required; Bachelor degree, preferred Strong interpersonal, facilitation, communications, and collaboration skills Able to handle several tasks, and possess flexibility to shifting priorities against tight deadlines Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work with keyboard functions and literacy in Word and spreadsheet applications Strong experience with engineer-to-order or custom products Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred Experience in ERP system, preferred The starting target salary range is $70,000 - $95,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. Expanded pay ranges may be available for growth and advancement opportunities. In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit-sharing opportunity.
