ARNP | Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview: This role offers psychological testing, therapy, consultation, and medication management services aimed at enhancing mental health for patients within a regional healthcare setting in the Midwest. The practitioner serves as a valuable resource to physicians, hospital staff, and the community by promoting awareness of psychological principles beneficial for individual and group care. Work Schedule: This is an on-site position with options for either 36 or 40 hours per week during day shifts. Education & Licensure Must hold a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) credential. Licensed or license-eligible to provide medical care within the state of Iowa. Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association) certification is required prior to employment or within 30 days of hire, with ongoing maintenance of certification. Experience Preferred: At least one year of experience demonstrating competence in evaluation and medication management services. Skills & Competencies Ability to build rapport and consult effectively with all levels of medical and health center staff. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Exhibits strong socialization skills and appropriate interaction with staff and diverse clientele, even under stressful conditions. Serves as a model for a stable lifestyle and personality, free from psychological or substance abuse impairments that could impact job performance. Willingness to cooperate with independent psychological evaluation if concerns arise. Adherence to personnel policies is essential.
