Registered Nurse (RN) | Labor & Delivery Location: Decatur, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,479 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: RN Med Surg Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Telemetry experience Medical Surgical experience Description: The unit has 60 beds. There are 50 staff members. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNs, PCTs, and a unit secretary when grid allows. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse per floor, RNs, LVNs, PCTs. Patient ratios are 5:1 on the Med Surg specialty floor and 6:1 on the other floor. Typical equipment includes remote telemetry, capnography, Alaris IV pumps, glucometers, and dynamaps. The electronic medical record system used is Alterra. Typical procedures performed include: - All abdominal procedures: cholecystectomy, appendectomy, colectomy, diagnostic procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, heart catheterizations, and run-offs. - Gastric sleeves and total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements. - Orthopedic trauma repairs (fractures). Candidates should possess good time management skills. The ideal personality fit is team-oriented, positive, and flexible. Mandatory floating as needed to inpatient rehab, ED, and PCU will occur. Assignments outside of skill level or scope will not be given. Weekend shifts are required. There is no on-call duty.
