The VA Black Hills Health Care System is seeking a board certified or board eligible psychiatrist to provide general outpatient care. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. An incentive is authorized for highly qualified candidates. The staff psychiatrist is aligned within the Mental Health Service Line. The psychiatrist will be working with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff. Treatment will include comprehensive assessments of individuals with diagnoses including (but not limited to): psychosis, posttraumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, addiction, and organic mental illness. On-call duties will include residential treatment and inpatient psychiatry. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
