Job Title Aviation Compliance Specialist (Part-Time) Location Main Campus - Dayton, OH Job Number 05449 Department Aviation Technology Job Category Professional Job Type Part-Time Status Regular Job Open Date 04/06/2026 Resume Review Date 04/21/2026 Closing Date 04/20/2026 Open Until Filled No Position Summary The Aviation Compliance Specialist will assist the Aviation Technology Department chairperson and staff by ensuring program compliance with FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and VA (Veterans Administration) requirements, as well as contract compliance by Sinclair's flight training contractor. With the rapid expansion of the Professional Pilot, A&P mechanic and UAS programs, and growing overall enrollment, the workload associated with ensuring compliance with FAA and VA rules and requirements has increased significantly. The hourly pay rate for this position is $25.15 and has a maximum of 28 hours per week. Why work for Sinclair College? Principal Accountabilities * Coordinate with flight training contractor instructors and staff to ensure compliance with all FAA and VA record keeping requirements * Work with the Aviation program coordinators to approve instructor pay requests and invoices from the flight training contractor * Work with the Aviation department chairperson and program coordinators to ensure contract compliance by the flight training contractor * Assist the Aviation Maintenance and UAS program coordinators in FAA record keeping and compliance * Assist Sinclair Students with enrolling in and being successful in flight and ground school courses Requirements * Minimum of an associate's degree required; bachelor's degree preferred * Minimum of 3 years' work experience in in a compliance or management role required * Prior work experience in aviation operations, management and/or aviation education field preferred * Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with faculty, staff and students and in a supportive role required * Ability to professionally communicate and coordinate with outside agencies such as the FAA and VA required * Ability to work on multiple tasks while providing great attention to detail and meeting all prescribed deadlines required * Professional communication skills to include written and oral, with a positive attitude and strong desire to assist people required * Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel with the ability to learn and utilize programs and databases used by the College and the flight training contractor required
