Insero Talent Solutions has partnered with a high-growth Construction to recruit an HR Manager. Company Summary: Our client is a large contractor who is headquartered in Western New York. They will perform work anywhere along the eastern seacoast. They have successfully completed multiple projects in various states. With over 150 employees, they are dedicated to providing top-tier services across multiple states. Position Summary: The HR manager position is responsible for providing knowledgeable direction and guidance on policies, procedures, programs and legal employment practices. Key Responsibilities: Conduct new employee orientation, benefits enrollment, 401(k) enrollment meetings, and employment practices training programs. Maintain personnel and HR records in accordance with the company, federal and state guidelines. Identify practical solutions for HR issues and processes, recommend appropriate action plans. Acts as a liaison to company leadership providing assistance and guidance on Human Resource policies, procedures, issues and initiatives. Coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and managing performance of staff. Recruit employees. Investigate, document and recommend appropriate action(s) to be taken to resolve employee complaints and employee relations concerns. Provide guidance and direction and prepare corrective action and termination documents. Involvement in developing or conducting performance reviews, talent reviews, safety and wellness. Maintain employee files and other HR files/documentation to ensure all required documentation has been completed for all employees. Schedule employee physicals and random drug testing appointments and keep accurate records. Manage Health Care policies and providers Oversee and manage Workman's Comp claims and policies Serve as a liaison between Human Resources and Payroll to ensure proper approval process and changes are passed on for processing timely and accurately. Aid Management and Safety Director as required. Perform special projects or other duties as requested. REQUIREMENTS An Associates Degree is required, Bachelors in Human Resources or a related field is preferred. 5 or more years of HR experience, 2 or more in a management position. Strong knowledge of human resource policies, practices, procedures, federal, state, employment laws and compliance and non-discrimination laws and regulations. Ability to demonstrate the following: leadership, time management, decision making, clear communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in MS Office products (Word, PWP, Excel, Outlook) Working knowledge HR systems. Will be required to quickly learn and become proficient in management and use of Computer Ease and HCSS software. Proficient in FMLA, LOA and WC; knowledge of Obama Care and the Construction Industry is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
