Please list your corrugated industry experience on the application or resume.The Shipping Manager is responsible for overseeing the shipping operations and its staff in a paper sheet feeder plant. This role ensures timely and accurate delivery of finished goods, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in shipping and receiving, not logistics, within a manufacturing or paper industry setting, and a hands-on approach to continuous improvement.Experienced Corrugated Shipping Supervisor 2+ years in shipping department, preferably corrugated industry, and a minimum of one year supervisory/lead experience.Strong safety leadership skills with a focus on people and their safety.Attention to detail and customer service is a must.Strong people skills with a focus on building and maintaining a team environment.Possess the ability to supervise employees for shipping and receiving department across three shifts. Strong skills in motivation, training, building an environment of support and respect. Must be willing and able to perform some job-related administrative tasks for employees.Able to train, council, and provide mentorship to employees - both experienced and new hires.Familiarity with shipping software Axiom, and computer software Microsoft is a plus.Key Responsibilities:Manage daily shipping operations to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of corrugated sheets.Coordinate with production and customer service teams to align shipment schedules with production output.Supervise a team of shipping personnel, forklift operators, shift leads and receiving clerks.Optimize truck loading schedules and route planning for cost efficiency and delivery timeliness.Maintain accurate records of shipments and delivery confirmations.Coach and counsel forklift operators on order and customer specificationsCoach shipping and receiving staff on keeping accurate scans, data entry, and processesImplement and uphold safety protocols in shipping and loading areas.Utilize shipping software (OpenDoc and Axiom) for documentation and tracking.Monitor KPIs and generate reports on shipping performance, delays, costs, and process improvements.Enforce adherence to any company policy and standards within the shipping/receiving department staffQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum 3-5 years of experience in shipping management and supervision, must be a manufacturing or paper/converting environment.
