Advanced Security Officer | Certified Protection Specialist

Join a dedicated team focused on safeguarding the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff within a prominent healthcare system in the Central Plains region of the United States. This full-time role involves patrolling multiple facilities and responding swiftly to emergencies, ensuring a safe and secure environment. Essential Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of all buildings and grounds, including off-site affiliates, to identify and report safety and fire hazards. Respond promptly to emergency situations involving disorderly or combative individuals, which may require physical intervention and exposure to various hazards. Investigate incidents such as theft, assault, and violations of restraining orders. Assist visitors, motorists, and pedestrians on the premises as needed. Lead and participate in required safety trainings and emergency drills. Maintain compliance with privacy and security regulations related to Protected Health Information (PHI). Foster effective communication and professional relationships with patients, staff, contractors, and external agencies. Education and Experience Prior experience in security, law enforcement, corrections, or hospital care is required. Preferred candidates have 1-5 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related fields. Trade school diploma or certificate is advantageous. Licenses and Certifications Valid driver's license from the state of residence is required. Skills and Abilities Proficient in basic computer data entry and report writing. Strong verbal communication and de-escalation skills. Self-defense training is beneficial. Physical Requirements Ability to perform very heavy work, including occasional lifting over 100 lbs and frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. Standing or walking for 75-100% of the workday.
