OPEN Rates Opportunity Highlights Start Date: ASAP Status: Open (High Urgency) Shift: Custom / Varied Bi-Weekly Schedule Profession: Nurse Practitioner Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Location: Crookston, Minnesota Clinical Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner will work as an integral part of the orthopedic team, providing comprehensive care across the surgical continuum. Surgical Support: Provide first-assist support in the Operating Room for various orthopedic procedures (e.g., total joint replacements, fracture repairs). Clinic Management: Conduct pre-operative evaluations, post-operative follow-ups, and manage a panel of orthopedic clinic patients. Inpatient Care: Perform hospital rounding, coordinate admissions/discharges, and manage acute orthopedic consults. Collaboration: Work closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes and recovery. Provider Requirements Board Certification: Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP). Licensure: Active Minnesota (MN) State License in hand or eligible to obtain. Experience: Previous experience in Orthopedic Surgery or a high-acuity surgical setting is highly preferred. Skills: Proficiency in surgical first-assisting, joint injections, and orthopedic diagnostic interpretation. Technical: Comfortable with computer charting systems (EMR).
