Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An experienced Med/Surg Registered Nurse is sought for a night shift position on the Resource Team at a well-equipped healthcare facility in Crawfordsville, IN. This contract role offers the opportunity to work flexible, rotating shifts across three Med/Surg units, providing care for a diverse patient population.Location:This position is based on the 3rd floor of a modern hospital facility in the Lafayette area, featuring 27-30 beds and a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6. The unit utilizes advanced equipment including Alaris and Kangaroo pumps, vein illumination devices, Pyxis medication dispensers, and the Vocera communication system. The electronic medical record system in use is Epic, facilitating efficient clinical documentation and communication.Responsibilities:Provide patient-centered care for orthopedic, general surgical, GI, renal, oncology, and other medical patients.Manage complex treatments, including Heparin drips and blood transfusions.Float between three Med/Surg units as needed, adapting quickly to varying patient needs.Collaborate effectively while maintaining independence in a fast-paced environment.Complete mandatory computer-based training prior to orientation and maintain required certifications.Qualifications:Active RN license with a minimum of 3 years Med/Surg nursing experience.Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred.Strong proficiency with Epic EMR; ability to test out of training if used within the past year.Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required.Comfortable managing telemetry patients and diverse clinical scenarios including ortho post-op care.Schedule:Nights, 1800-0630.36 guaranteed weekly hours.Every third weekend, including Saturday and Sunday night shifts.No call requirements.This contract position offers the chance to engage in a challenging and rewarding nursing role with supportive leadership and structured orientation. xijylhu Prepare for your first day by completing assigned CBT modules and take advantage of the opportunity to expand your clinical and technical skills in a well-resourced Med/Surg environment.Apply now to advance your nursing career with this dynamic contract nursing opportunity in Crawfordsville, IN.
