Our district consists of an early childhood center, five elementary school serving kindergarten through 5th grade, a middle school serving grades 6-8, a high school serving grades 9-12 (includes a career-tech school and an alternative school), and an adult high school serving students ages 16 and above. Some college preferred. Experience in after school youth programming preferred. Experience in providing student-focused programming required. Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written. Positive, friendly and energetic attitude. Must have the ability to work evening hours (3-6p.m.) and some program events during evening/weekend hours. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain a safe and orderly environment. Must maintain good attendance. Support student success at all times. Implement student discipline policy. Attend and/or complete required professional development throughout the year. Be familiar with and implement policies and procedures. Provide a positive place for students to come during out-of-school time hours. Develop and lead academic and/or enrichment activities for students to assist with meeting program goals and objectives. Actively supervise students at all times to ensure safety. Create and set-up activities as directed. Provide proper record keeping as instructed. Maintain a calm, patient and professional demeanor with students, families, staff, and community partners. Additional related duties as identified by site coordinator, principal or director. RESPONSIBLE TO: Site Coordinator and Director of Community and Family Engagement SALARY: $20/hourly CONTRACT: Approximately 10 hours per week; school year may lead to summer employment.
