Job DescriptionPowder coating Department: Powder coating positions involve applying a dry powder finish to various products, primarily metal, requiring attention to detail, technical skills, and safety protocols. Job Responsibilities Application of Powder Coating: Technicians are responsible for preparing surfaces and applying powder coatings using specialized equipment like spray guns and hoppers. They ensure an even application and adherence to quality standards. Surface Preparation: This includes cleaning (Wash)and preparing parts before coating to ensure a smooth finish. Proper surface preparation is crucial for achieving high-quality results. Curing/Dry Process: After application, parts are moved into curing ovens to solidify the powder coating, which requires knowledge of temperature and timing to achieve optimal results. Quality Control: Technicians must monitor the coating process and inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet manufacturing standards. Maintenance and Safety: Maintaining equipment, cleaning work areas, and following safety protocols are essential to minimize hazards and keep a safe working environment. Required Skills and Qualifications: High School Diploma, Blueprint reading, write, read and understand basic and verbal instructions Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing, painting, Spray coating, Hand Tools, powder coating. Organization is Preferred Attention to Detail: A strong focus on quality and detail is crucial for producing high-quality finishes and minimizing defects. Dress Codes: Must wear Long Pants, short sleeves, no rips, tears, holes, Steel Toed Shoes, Safety Glasses, side shields, Respiratory Mask, Hood, Ear plugs.
