Provide assistance to campuses and parents/guardians regarding administrative and instructional issues necessary to maintain an appropriate educational program for students. The Lead Diagnostician will ensure compliance with IDEA and district policies while providing technical expertise and support to assessment staff, enhancing the quality of efficiency of special education services. The Lead Diagnostician assists the Coordinator for Child Find Services plan, develop, and implement professional training relevant to assessment staff as well as provide training for District staff in areas of positive behavior strategies and instructional interventions. Will act as liaison between campus and the Department of Special Education. As a member of this team, the Lead Diagnostician will provide direct support to student, school staff, and assessment team.
