Accounting Manager

We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager for a thriving retail company in Corona, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is ready to step into a Controller-level role in the near future. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, strong operational accounting experience, advanced IT and systems skills, and a background working with companies generating more than $30M in revenueKey Responsibilities:Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closePrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsEnsure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting in compliance with GAAPManage and improve the month-end and year-end close processSupervise and mentor accounting staff while remaining hands-on in day-to-day accounting functionsAnalyze financial results and provide reporting and insights to leadershipSupport budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementMaintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and accounting proceduresPartner cross-functionally with operations and other departments to support business objectivesAssist with system improvements, process automation, and ERP optimizationSupport external audits and tax-related requestsContribute to strategic initiatives and be prepared to grow into a Controller positionQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required5+ years of progressive accounting experiencePrevious experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant ready for the next stepRetail industry experience strongly preferredHands-on accounting experience requiredStrong IT and systems skills, including ERP systems and advanced ExcelExperience working for companies with annual revenue exceeding $30M requiredStrong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsProven ability to lead while also being involved in the detailsExcellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
