An opportunity is available for a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join a retail pharmacy setting in Elmira, NY. This permanent role offers a structured schedule with a focus on quality patient care and pharmacy operations. Location: Elmira, NY Schedule: Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Bi-weekly hours: 36 Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to manage inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and optimize profitability. Accurately weigh, measure, and mix drugs and medical compounds; fill prescriptions ensuring correct quantities and formulations. Provide consultation to self-medicating patients and dispense over-the-counter medications. Maintain effective communication with healthcare professionals and insurance providers. Administer patient immunizations regularly. In the pharmacy manager's absence, assist with scheduling pharmacy associates, recognizing performance, managing discipline when necessary, and assigning work tasks to utilize team strengths while supporting company objectives. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Licensed pharmacist in the state of New York. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations and inventory management. Excellent communication skills and patient-focused approach. Ability to lead and manage pharmacy associates as needed.
