Located at 3965 E. Conley Rd. Conley, GA 30288 Who You Are: We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to support glass manufacturing operations by handling the lifting, moving, and positioning of heavy glass materials and equipment. What You Will Be Doing: Operate overhead cranes and hoists to move raw materials, glass sheets, molds, and equipment throughout the facility. Load and unload glass products and materials to/from production lines, trucks, and storage areas. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on crane equipment to ensure safe operation. Communicate with ground personnel using hand signals, radios, or other methods to ensure coordinated and safe movements. Adhere strictly to plant safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company operating procedures. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to the maintenance or supervisory team. Maintain clean and organized work areas, including crane cabins and control stations. Assist with other duties in the plant when crane operation is not required. Skills you bring: High school diploma or GED required. Valid crane operator certification (e.g., NCCCO or equivalent) preferred. 2+ years of experience operating overhead or gantry cranes, preferably in an industrial or glass manufacturing environment. Familiarity with ERP systems or digital inventory tools for material tracking (preferred) Basic mechanical troubleshooting or maintenance skills (preferred) Forklift certification or experience with additional material handling equipment (preferred) Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or 5S methodology (preferred) Strong understanding of load limits, rigging practices, and safe lifting procedures. Ability to read and interpret load charts, safety protocols, and production orders. Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced production environment.
