Assist to ensure company policies and labor laws are followed. Being the point of contact for employees on HR-related matters and will work to foster a positive and productive work environment. Providing support to the organization by performing routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation and payroll, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; as well as training and development. Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all aspects of a semi-monthly payroll process for 200+ employees in multiple states, including timesheets, payroll processing and recording reports.Assist with Open Enrollment for organization benefits including material prep, assisting with facilitating meetings and enrollment forms.Assist employees with changes throughout the year related to life events regarding benefits, personal address, and direct deposit updates.Reconciles all benefits billings and provides information/breakdown to accounting for payment along with monitoring all aspects of benefits throughout the year.Ensure new hire paperwork, including all benefits paperwork is completed and processed accurately and timely into the HRIS system.Notify all applicable departments of new hires. Assist with working with IT, Accounting, facilities, to ensure that new employees are set up correctly and all items are ready for their first day of employment.Assist with explaining HRs policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees.Identify and escalate any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations to the HR Manager and upper management.Maintain, and keep updated the HR system and personnel files.Assists with compliance reporting of all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.Acquires and maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Assist with preparing paperwork related to new hires, terminations, leaves of absence and benefits.Review, track, and document compliance with required safety training as well as support on site health and safety programs and assisting with recording any workers compensation issues.Review applicant resumes received; log and when necessary, distribute applicants resumes as appropriate.Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications for new hires.Assist Travel Coordinator with recording per diem for race events along with calculation of per diem and inputting into payroll.This role is responsible for understanding and recording time and attendance at each race event.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex, and/or sensitive matters appropriately.Special Projects - Identifies opportunities to improve and enhance HR or cultural practices, processes and policies and then creates and implements solutions to those opportunities.Assist with planning employee events including win celebrations, seasonal events, and wellness fairs when requested/necessary.Serve as a back-up for the Front Desk/Retail Coordinator, as needed.QualificationsDegree in HR or related field, or combined years of experience (Certification preferred).Minimum of 3 years administrative or generalist experience in HR, specialized focus supporting manufacturing and business operations a plus.Experience with payroll processing, HRIS system software preferred and benefits knowledge.Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is task oriented with excellent ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at one time, flexibility, independent, and a high degree of initiative necessary.Ability to exercise a high level of sensitivity for confidential information.Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate with team members effectively and professionally at all levels is required.Strong PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.Highly organized and self-motivated.
