Veterinary Assistant 2 - SOCC - Department:Veterinary Medicine | Spectrum of Care. The College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medical Center is recruiting a Veterinary Assistant to join the Dublin Urgent Care team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the provision of care to ill and injured animals as well as providing assistance to clinicians, staff and professional students in the days to day operations of the Veterinary Medical Center-Dublin. Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Providing basic patient care functions; assisting in the collection of lab specimens such as blood, urine, and feces for testing. Assisting with patient assessment, restraint and treatments. Assisting with training student employees in prescribed care of animals; comforting and caring for hospitalized animal patients. Walking patients and providing clean housing, food, and water at all times.
