Material Handler - Manufacturing

Material Handler The Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of raw materials, components, and finished goods within a manufacturing facility. This role supports production by ensuring timely delivery of materials and maintaining accurate inventory levels. Responsibilities: Practice safe working habits and follow safety procedures, policy, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA). Ability to work towards continuous improvement of product quality and ISO 9001:2008. Deliver raw materials and components to production lines in a timely manner. Maintain inventory accuracy by properly labeling, storing, and tracking materials. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment safely and effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and production areas. Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Report any damaged or missing items to supervisors. Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production needs. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. 12 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain). Basic math and computer skills (inventory systems experience is a plus). Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Work Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse setting. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, and varying temperatures. May require overtime or shift work, including weekends.
